Stress accumulation from pain or illness, grief, and being overwhelmed. Often people have stress combined with any type of trauma they have experienced stored in the body. For example they could have an undiagnosable pain in their elbow that is trauma stress causing the pain. It could be from any type of abuse, injuries, having to endure something over time such as a difficult work situation, war, being terrified or severely startled by something and others. This complex type of stress can make or contribute to chronic physical pain, chronic and unrelenting tensions and any form of discomfort
And pain. Helping these types of stress are not helped with counseling by David Herring. He uses hands on techniques that were developed by different medical based practitioners such as osteopaths, physical therapist, and manual therapy practitioners.

How I Can Help
I can effectively address general pain, and/or undiagnosable pain, chronic pain and acute pain residing anywhere in the body with a group of manual therapies I specialize in. They are a unique and painless form of Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR), Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST), Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT), and Strain-Counter-Strain Therapy. They work synergistically together. This group of therapies began their development in the osteopathic medical profession in the 1930s and the physical therapy profession in the 1970s.
Therapy here is risk free, relaxing, and not painful. All of it is done fully clothed. Chronic pain and Undiagnosable pain and unrelenting deep seated stress can be caused by a restricted sacrum, restricted hip joints, restrictions of the jaw, restriction of C1 with the base of the skull, restricted fascial bones, and bones that make up the skull and other situations. Also, residual effects of concussions can contribute to pain, stress, and discomfort and a variety of dysfunctions.
My advanced training in cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release and integrative manual therapy enables me to help residual effects of concussions. There can be sustained tensions running between different regions and structures of the body. They can be left behind by injuries, deep seated stress, trauma, surgeries, and illness. This often contributes to joint pain, postural problems, nerve, fascia, and muscle pain, headaches, TMJ, muscle pain, inflammation, internal scaring, and weakening of specific areas of bone tissue.
Specialized assessment techniques give me the ability to locate sustained tensions running between different regions and structures of the body so that I can release them. They also give me the ability to assess if pain in one area of the body is having a relationship with pain in another part of the body which could be in a faraway region of the body. For example, the joint of L5 and the sacrum located in the lower back being restricted can contribute to shoulder, neck, and wrist pain. Acute pain can quickly be reduced with the unique form of myofascial release therapy I practice. It reduces inflammation and makes it so swelling can be reduced and the circulation, the immune system, and lymphatics can work more effectively in the effected area.
The techniques I practice here are unique and are not commonly found in the Williamsburg area where I am located. Many help with the same issues that acupuncture and osteopathy address. This is why I often get good results after my clients have tried a wide range of therapy and medical interventions.
